Job Description

Title: AE5 Team Member – Intelligence Response Centre (Shift Work)
Location: Canberra, ACT, Australia

Overview

ASIO is seeking dedicated and adaptable team members for various positions within the 24/7 Intelligence Response Centre (IRC) at the AE5 (APS5) level. The IRC is crucial in monitoring, alerting, and reporting on both domestic and international security incidents outside of regular business hours. This role involves shift work, including day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Support ASIO’s operational activities outside of business hours.
  • Triage and assess time-sensitive information from multiple sources.
  • Respond to critical security threats and incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality intelligence outcomes.
  • Build professional relationships with external partners, including various government agencies.
  • Manage investigative and analytical duties.

Requirements

Salary and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Includes a Weighted Average Shift Penalty of 38.95% for shift workers.
