Job Description
As the hotel manager at Hyatt House South Melbourne, you will be responsible for the hotel’s succhotel’s successful launch and ongoing operations and will collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure that all aspects of the hotel meet and exceed brand standards. Your role will encompass leadership, financial management, team development, and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in creating a culture culture and ensuring that and staff have the best possible experience.
Responsibilities
- Customer Preference: Drive customer preference for the Hyatt House brand, ensuring an exceptional guest experience in line with brand standards.
- Pre-Opening Leadership: Oversee all pre-opening activities, including recruitment, training, and implementation of brand guidelines, to ensure a successful hotel launch.
- Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day hotel operations, maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction while optimizing efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence across all departments.
- Financial Management Develop and manage the hotel’s budget, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality service.

Job Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an opening hotel.
Hyatt experience is highly preferred, especially with a background in Rooms management.
Proven ability to work within brand guidelines and establish a brand presence in a new market.
Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on talent development and team growth.
Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
Ability to achieve business goals related to financials, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.
