- Position: Medical Facilities Associate I
- Location: South Florida (Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area)
- Employment Type: Full-time, in-office (Tuesday through Thursday in office; Monday and
- Friday remote)
- Salary: $50 – per hour
Overview:
The Medical Facilities Associate I is responsible for scheduling global biomedical technician visits, receiving and reviewing biomedical reports, and coordinating corrective actions including repair, procurement of parts, and asset replacements. Additionally, this role supports requests for pharmacy medications and supplies.
Responsibilities
Facilities Support:
Respond to shipboard requests promptly.
Track and record all requests, categorize them by urgency, and escalate matters to management as needed.
Evaluate and prioritize equipment, medication, and supply requests.
Communicate with departments and vendors to coordinate necessary logistics.
Medical Equipment and Maintenance:
Facilitate the procurement of medical equipment and services.
Organize annual preventative maintenance for medical equipment.
Work with third-party biomedical companies on open equipment work orders.
Medications and Supplies:
Maintain an organized formulary list and communicate with suppliers about backorders.
Assist management in acquiring suitable alternatives for formulary items.
Report critical issues about medication outages.
Vendor Relations:
Assisted with order inquiries, issued purchase orders, and monitored product receipts.
Evaluate and choose appropriate suppliers.
General Administration:
Assist with other projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration and/or Supply Chain preferred and experiences.
- Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in an administrative support role; experience with medical facilities or supply chain in a large corporation preferred.
- Skills:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
